The Puppet of the Future is a goliath automaton you can find as an optional boss in Lies of P, but the area you discover this machine in harms Pinocchio and makes it hard to beat this enemy. Found in the lower sections of the Workshop Union Culvert, you might avoid this enemy at first due to its sheer size. Taking down this boss at some point will give you an incredibly rare Ergo and a special upgrade ingredient.
As you approach the boss in the Workshop, you'll find that the Puppet of the Future is surrounded by a pool that causes the Corruption condition. Even though it takes some exposure to activate, this effect gradually decreases your Health over time. Upgraded shops in Hotel Krat may have items called Purification Ampule that can cure this status as you attempt to fight the massive steampunk enemy.

How To Drain The Corruption Pool
While you could try to defeat the Puppet of the Future while fighting off Corruption, it is far easier to drain the pool using a lever found deeper in the Workshop. Avoid the boss at first and continue exploring until you face an Elite enemy that drops a Swordsmanship Master's Amulet. Past the frenzied puppets in this area, you should see a hallway glowing red leading to a small room with the lever in Lies of P.
How to Defeat The Puppet of the Future
There are multiple weak points you can lock onto once you have equal footing with the Puppet of the Future in Lies of P. The boss' attacks are heavy and slow but deal tons of damage while knocking you back whenever they hit. If you aren't careful, the giant can take you down in one or two hits, so stay close to its legs to avoid many of the attacks made from its large arms.
Like the Door Guardian boss in Lies of P, you can target the boss' legs and stagger the Puppet of the Future by continuing to attack these points. When the enemy's health bar turns white, attack one of its legs to bring it down onto one knee. Follow up this assault with quick strikes to the other knee to fully stagger the boss, revealing a spot where you can deal huge damage with a Fatal Attack.
