LEGO Batman Posters For Home Release

To celebrate the home release of The LEGO Movie 2, but fans who missed Batman in cinemas can now check out the movie at home.

The home release of The LEGO Batman Movie was announced back in April, and will be a two-stage release. As of May 19th, The LEGO Batman Movie is available on Digital HD, with the DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra-HD coming on June 13th. Now, a new series of LEGO-ized Batman movie posters have been released to celebrate the Digital HD release of the film.

Four posters were tweeted by Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

These LEGO versions recreate the classic posters perfectly, although with a few changes and a little less detail than the originals. The biggest difference can be seen in the poster for Batman Forever, which originally showed only the Bat-symbol in a question mark (for the Riddler), while this version shows Batman in front of a green background and the Bat-symbol. The Batman Returns poster, meanwhile, is almost identical to the original, with Catwoman, Penguin and Batman on a black background, and even the small penguins at the bottom reproduced in LEGO. The poster for Batman & Robin is similar to the live-action version, although Batgirl is missing from the LEGO poster, and the one for Batman V Superman is almost identical to the original.

This is just a fun way to promote the Digital HD release for the film, and doesn't have anything to do with the actual content of the Batman LEGO Movie, of course. It also doesn't point toward LEGO-ized remakes or anything of that nature, although it would certainly be fun to see LEGO versions of these Batman movies! Perhaps a scene or two could be re-worked in LEGO for the die-hard fans, but for everyone else, this is just a fun reminder that the movie is now available for home viewing.
