He's been campaigning for people to head back to theaters since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the industry hard in 2020, so it's no surprise that he's excited about some of the summer's biggest blockbusters.
During a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Cruise mentioned the "fun" audiences can expect this summer, with the final Mission: Impossible film and Ryan Coogler's Sinners already in theaters, and went on to say, "You've got the John Wick series, with, you know, Keanu and Ana, they're going to do Ballerina..." When Entertainment Tonight later spoke to Reeves on the red carpet for Ballerina and asked him how it felt to receive that kind of from Tom Cruise, Reeves responded enthusiastically.
"Yeah, I mean, he's a legend, you know, I don't know if he has an equal. The career that he's had, in action and performing, you know, he's very special; he's one of the best. It's cool to have a shoutout from the legend."

"I know what it takes to do that stuff, so I always call him. I'm like, 'Hats off, man, hats off,' and I dig those movies, I really love it."
