Iron Man #1 Proves That for the First Time, Marvel Truly Understands How Dangerous Tony Stark Really Is

Marvel Comics' new Iron Man #1 perfectly highlights just how dangerous Tony Stark (and his company) can truly be in the Marvel Universe.

There have been various power sources for Iron Man's armors over the years. Originally, a major weakness, and Iron Man comics have mostly forgotten it these days. Marvel would eventually move on and give Iron Man a different power source for his armors that was a lot less ridiculous.

Iron Man Armor Weakness

Later in his comic history, Iron Man started using the Repulsor Tech node. This power source would be used for almost all of his new armors going forward, including his Bleeding Edge armor. The Repulsor Tech node was a pretty interesting piece of technology, as it could do quite a lot more than just power his armor. When Pepper Potts was caught in an explosion and nearly killed, Tony managed to install an R.T. node in her body, which granted her increased healing, light power over magnetic fields, and the ability to project energy blasts. As incredible as this is, it's nothing compared to the power source Tony will need to defeat his latest enemy.

Tony has a chance to turn it all around, he just needs to build a new suit of armor with a new magical power source.

Now, Justine Hammer is attacking Tony Stark with magic and science. Tony was taken off-guard, and he lost everything, all because he wasn't used to dealing with magic. Thankfully, Tony has a chance to turn it all around, he just needs to build a new suit of armor with a new magical power source. Exactly how Tony is going to do this is unclear, but future solicitations have revealed Tony will be teaming up with Scarlet Witch at some point, and there are few magic-s more powerful in the Marvel Universe than Wanda. With her help, he could certainly create the most powerful Iron Man suit ever.

Iron Man's Ability To Make Something Out Of Even The Most Disperate Materials Is His Most Valuable Skill

Now, Tony Stark Must Master Magic

Tony Stark is an indisputable genius and, while he hasn't dabbled in magic nearly as much as science, there's no doubt that he will eventually get a firm handle on how to use it. Tony has created armors out of all sorts of absurd things. He has created armors out of dead symbiotes and even the bodies of Celestials. It seems there's truly nothing that Tony can't create armor out of, and he's going to prove that now by creating an Iron Man suit that runs off magic.
