In players to do in Grounded, from crafting armor and weapons to exploring the map and collecting upgrade items and materials. While several materials are inside the Minotaur Maze's chest, the key item it contains is the Picnic BURG.L Chip. While not required for story progression, this Chip allows players to buy the Food Stuff Sign Set, the Mint Mace recipe, and the SCA.B Scanner: Milk Molars upgrades from BURG.L. The sign set is nice enough, but it is these last two items players will be most interested in.
The Mint Mace is one of the strongest melee weapons in the game, second only to the Club of the Mother Demon in pure damage, but with the Fresh elemental alignment. It can be upgraded with Grounded's Might Globs and Mighty Jewel and the Barbarian mutation. The SCA.B Scanner: Milk Molar upgrade does what its name implies, upgrading the player's SCA.B Scanner to detect nearby Milk Molars, a vital resource any player should look out for. Both of these purchasable are potent items for players to have.
The chest the key opens is in the Minotaur Maze's End and can be found in the Picnic Table Biome, but the player should focus on getting the key first. To do this, they will need a tier 2 dagger to use underwater -either the Spider Fang Dagger or the Bone Dagger. The former is a weapon and can be crafted with Spider Fang x1, Silk Rope x3, and Spider Venom x4, and the latter with Sunken Bone x2, Silk Rope x2, and Diving Bell Spider Chunk x2.
How To Find The Minotaur Maze Key in Grounded
The player should head towards the exposed pipe between Grounded's Sandbox Biome and Picnic Table Biome, just behind the Leaning Shovel landmark. Enter the pipe and head through the muddy water into a crack in the pipe leading into a small cave. Inside the cave, some Soggy Roots are blocking off the Minotaur Maze Key, which the player should easily notice. Chop through the root, grab the key, and head back to the surface.
If the player has not already reached the top of the Picnic Table, use an explosive on the Leaning Shovel and climb to the top. From there, the player should make their way through the maze, open the chest, and voilà, they have the Chip. After the player has purchased the SCAN.R upgrade, they collect Milk Molars to unlock all five Mutation Slots, as Grounded's Mutations, once unlocked, can be very beneficial in the long run.
