HBO Max is hoping to convince subscribers to stay inside and beat the heat with the streamer's July releases. Since the service made a streaming deal with Warner Bros. to simultaneously release feature films the same day as theaters, it has proved itself to be a heavy hitter in of programming. To keep up to the level of Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, HBO Max has made an effort to continuously churn out content from Warner Bros., HBO, and the platform's own original titles. Not only will all three of those categories be bolstered in July, but the service's back catalog will also see key additions.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's In the Heights. Both movies will be available for a portion of July before leaving a month after their respective releases. The titles certainly helped HBO Max begin the summer with two highly-anticipated titles in addition to the return of Warner Bros.'s thriller, The Little Things, which originally debuted in January.

As for noteworthy July 2021 releases on HBO Max, the service is beginning the first day of the month by debuting Steven Soderbergh's Space Jam: A New Legacy (July 16), starring LeBron James and another appearance by Cheadle.
