Warning: SPOILERS ahead for Ginny & Georgia season 3, episode 10, "Monsters."

follows Georgia's murder trial — and all the revelations and lies that come with it. However, one of the biggest reveals arrives after Georgia is acquitted, an outcome only achieved thanks to Ginny's and Austin's scheming. The end of Ginny & Georgia season 3 drops a bombshell by suggesting that Georgia is pregnant, setting up yet another challenge she'll need to contend with in season 4.

Of course, this revelation isn't nearly as huge as the twist of Ginny & Georgia season 2's ending, which sees Georgia being arrested at her own wedding. But given all the turbulence in Georgia's love life throughout the hit Netflix series — and the fact that she's already struggling to be a better mother to Ginny and Austin — a potential pregnancy is a pretty huge deal. Unfortunately, the season 3 finale doesn't spend much time dwelling on this twist before the credits roll. It doesn't even tell us who the baby's father is, though there are two possibilities.

Georgia Is Pregnant: Ginny & Georgia's Season 3 Ending Twist Explained

Ginny Realizes Her Mother Is Drinking Milk In The Finale

Georgia Looking Worried In Ginny & Georgia Season 3

The final moments of Ginny & Georgia season 3 see the titular leads in their kitchen, where Georgia is drinking from a large bottle of milk. Upon seeing this, Ginny is jolted by the revelation that Georgia only drinks milk when she's pregnant. She says as much to her mother, who is shocked to realize she's correct. And the finale ends there, providing no further context about whether Georgia is truly pregnant or when it happened — though there's no reason for the show to drop such a twist only to undo it, especially since earlier episodes set the stage for this.

Ginny knows about Georgia's milk cravings because Ginny & Georgia lays the groundwork for this twist several episodes earlier, right after Ginny decides to have an abortion. As Georgia is comforting her daughter, she recalls how uncomfortable pregnancy can be. And she specifically notes that she "wanted milk, just all the time, straight from the carton." Georgia also uses Ginny's old pregnancy test to lie to Paul about being pregnant, hoping it will get him back on her side during the trial.

When Paul demands that Georgia take a new test, the truth comes out — but it's worth noting that she never actually goes through with it.

When Paul demands that Georgia take a new test, the truth comes out — but it's worth noting that she never actually goes through with it. Georgia could very well be pregnant during that scene, but it escapes her notice, making the finale possible. There's also a chance that Georgia becomes pregnant after that moment. There are two characters who could be the father of Georgia's child, and both options raise interesting possibilities for Ginny & Georgia season 4.

There Are 2 Characters Who Could Be The Father Of Georgia's Child

Georgia Is With Paul & Joe Over The Course Of Season 3

Ginny & Georgia season 3 intentionally doesn't delve into Georgia's pregnancy, preserving the mystery of whom the baby's father could be. Looking at the events of season 3, there are two contenders: Paul or Joe. Paul and Georgia are still together for the first half of this outing, before the mayor learns about Georgia's lies and decides to leave her. They're shown fooling around multiple times, and they even seem to have sex when they get back together briefly due to Georgia's faked pregnancy.

But the latter half of Ginny & Georgia season 3 finally delivers on the much-anticipated pairing of Georgia and Joe, with Georgia realizing she does, in fact, return Joe's feelings. In episode 8, "Is That a Packed Lunch," she and Joe have sex before she tries to run away. That incident makes Joe a real possibility. And with the Netflix series clearly setting up Georgia and Joe as a potential endgame, that would be the preferable outcome. After all, making Paul the baby's father would be devastating after Georgia's season 3 lie.

Making Paul The Father Would Put A Devastating Spin On Georgia's Season 3 Lie

This Storyline Is One Of The Show's Most Upsetting

Scott Porter As Mayor Paul Randolph In Ginny & Georgia Season 2

Georgia being pregnant with Paul's child in Ginny & Georgia season 4 would put a devastating twist on season 3's most upsetting story, which sees her lying to him about having his child. This completely shatters any remaining trust between the two of them, putting the final nail in the coffin of their relationship. Paul is understandably devastated to realize that Georgia would lie to him about such a thing, and his anger over the situation causes him to act in a way that shakes Georgia to the core.

It's difficult to see the two of them co-parenting, even if they don't get back together.

If the baby turns out to be Paul's in season 4, there's a chance he won't even believe Georgia when she tells him. And it's difficult to see the two of them co-parenting, even if they don't get back together. After all, they're on terrible now after totally betraying one another. While a pregnancy storyline is one way to keep Paul relevant in future seasons of the show, this just doesn't sit well after his and Georgia's season 3 story. Joe being the father would be better, though it's not clear how he'll react to such a thing.

What Joe Being The Father Would Mean For Ginny & Georgia Season 4

It Could Create Friction In Their Relationship

Joe and Georgia hugging in Ginny and Georgia

Joe being the father would be more satisfying now that Ginny & Georgia confirmed they should end up together. However, it's not clear where this season 4 storyline will go, assuming Joe is the reason Georgia is pregnant. It could be awkward after Georgia said they couldn't be together yet, and it could actually be used to create friction between them, just as they've finally acknowledged their feelings. That would allow the Netflix series to maintain the will-they, won't-they nature of their romance, but it could prove controversial, especially if it's not handled well.

Joe sees all the worst parts of Georgia and loves her anyway, and he still believes she's a good mother. However, it's unclear whether he or Georgia would be ready to take such a huge step together, especially with their romance being so unsteady. And given the show's tendency to lean into the drama, a neat and happy ending for the pair seems unlikely, unless Ginny & Georgia season 4 turns out to be the end. So, viewers can probably count on some tensions as Georgia determines whose baby she's carrying, especially after she slept with both Paul and Joe.
