In order to unlock his potential, you will need to farm Kinich’s materials in Mualani in Genshin Impact.
With his abilities, Kinich is capable of attaching himself to opponents and swinging around them while firing Loop Shots at them for increased damage. He can also end this ability with a Scalespiker Cannon Dendro AoE attack. Kinich is a very mobile and powerful DPS to have on the team and excels at being his own source of damage rather than relying heavily on Elemental Reactions – though they still help immensely. Kinich is also useful outside of combat thanks to his grapple hook but, before putting him to good use, you need to farm Kinich’s materials in Genshin Impact.
Ascension Materials To Farm For Kinich In Genshin Impact
All Of Kinich's Ascension Materials Can Be Farmed In Natlan
As a Dendro character, the first set of materials to farm for Kinich is composed of the various Nagadus Emerald stones. These elemental stones can be obtained from various sources, but the best way to farm them is by beating Dendro-related bosses. This includes opponents like Dendro Hypostatis, Jadeplume Terrorshroom, Guardian of Apep’s Oasis, and Gluttonous Mountain King. I found it more productive to farm Nagadus Emerald stones by beating the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King in Genshin Impact since this allowed me to optimize some of my farming efforts on a single enemy.
The table below lists all the necessary materials to fully Ascend Kinich, divided by level threshold and condensed at the end:

By beating the Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King I was able to farm both the Nagadus Emerald stones and the Overripe Flamegranate. This is the world boss material used in Kinich’s Ascension process. While not many are needed, you will need to face this world boss in Genshin Impact several times to gather all that you need. In doing so, you can farm two different sets of materials from a single enemy and even spare your Resin, which can often be found lacking when farming materials for a character.
As Kinich’s Ascension needs increase, you should use the Alchemy Table to transform lower-grade materials like Nagadus Emerald Slivers into rarer materials, such as Nagadus Emerald Fragments. The same can be said about the next set of materials for Kinich. To Ascend, the Dendro character uses Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang. These three types of items are all part of the same family. For reference, these are the Natlan Saurian materials in Genshin Impact, which means you will need to defeat Saurians in the wild to obtain them.
These items are also needed for Kinich’s Talents, so be sure to farm a surplus and defeat every Saurian you encounter while exploring Natlan.
The last item on Kinich’s Ascension list is called Saurian Claw Succulent. These are Local Specialities from Natlan that can be found across Tequemecan Valley, between Tepeacac Rise and Sulfurous Veins. Kinich needs 168 copies of Saurian Claw Succulent and there are only 77 of them on the map – and they take 48 real-life hours to respawn upon being farmed. This may extend your Ascension process by nearly a week.
In addition to the materials, you will also need to use 420,000 Mora to unlock the Ascension thresholds and an additional 1,673,400 if you are using Character EXP Materials to level Kinich. If you need Mora, run Blossoms of Wealth activities in Natlan – by doing so, you can encounter Saurian enemies, which will help you farm the aforementioned Saurian materials for both his Ascension and Talents in Genshin Impact.
Talent Materials To Farm For Kinich In Genshin Impact
Farming Talent Materials Can Be Time-Consuming
As was previously stated, Kinich’s Talents also use Juvenile Fang, Seasoned Fang, and Tyrant’s Fang, so you will need to challenge Saurian opponents as much as you can to farm them. Additionally, Kinich uses the Kindling Talent books from Natlan. These materials can be farmed at the Blazing Ruins Domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. On other days, the activity drops the Contention and Conflict Talent books. A lot of Kindling Books will be needed to fully level all of Kinich’s abilities in Genshin Impact, so you may see yourself farming this Domain for weeks.
The table below lists all the materials to take all of Kinich’s Talents to level 10:

Additionally, Kinich will need to have the Denial and Judgment material, which drops by beating the Knave boss in Genshin Impact. Not too many copies are needed, but the Knave is a weekly boss, and this limitation can set your farming efforts back for a long time. Be sure to transform the other Knave materials you obtain into Denial and Judgment at the Alchemy Table. Kinich will also need one Crown of Insight for each Talent’s last level, meaning you will consume a total of three to top off all his abilities.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Leaks Are Enough Reason For Me To Get Deep Into Imaginarium Theater
New details about a reward in Imaginarium Theater have been mentioned in Genshin Impact 5.1 leaks and they sound extremely promising to me.
Leveling a 5-star character’s Talents is extremely expensive and you will spend nearly 5 million Mora to complete all of Kinich’s abilities. If you ever need extra Mora, run Blossoms of Wealth and complete events. The process of Ascending Kinich and boosting his Talents is extremely straightforward, but it can be a time-consuming one, so the earlier you start, the earlier you should finish and move on to using Kinich in combat in Genshin Impact.
