After checking the most recent Escoffier in Genshin Impact 5.6, who is rumored to be a 5-star Cryo sub-DPS.

Based on the leaks that have been provided so far, the update will be somewhat unusual. There are mentions of a brand-new area and even a world boss in Natlan’s westernmost regions – which may eventually connect to Mare Jivari – and a new weekly boss challenge, accompanied by new Archon Quests in Mondstadt. Furthermore, the aforementioned Escoffier is a character from Fontaine, so several regions should be tackled in the update, though the Nation of Mondstadt, led by the leaked weekly boss in Genshin Impact 5.6, should represent the majority of the core content planned for the update.

Aside from new content, players can expect updates to regular content, like endgame activities. According to information provided by the leaker known as HomDGCat, the Spiral Abyss will undergo an update in its enemy lineup during Version 5.6, particularly on Floor 12. The leak was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit. As seen in the leak, Floor 12’s Spiral Abyss update will add a 75% Character’s Elemental Skill Cryo DMG bonus during the first half, while a 75% Character’s Elemental Skill Dendro DMG bonus is set for the second half of the activity in Genshin Impact 5.6.

Genshin Impact 5.6 Leaks: New Imaginarium Theater Buff May Be A Test For A New (& Unexpected) Elemental Reaction

There are rumors about a new buff in Genshin Impact 5.6’s Imaginarium Theater that may highlight two elements that don’t interact with each other.

According to the leaks, Floor 12-1 will feature an Eremite Stone Enchanter and the Local Legend Sappho Amidst The Waves in the first half, while the Lave Dragon Statue boss is the phase 2 opponent. Floor 12-2 is rumored to have Perpetual Mechanical Array in the first half, while two Tenebrous Mimiflora appear in the second half. Lastly, the leak says that Floor 12-3 has a Ruin Guard and a Thundering Wayob Manifestation in the first half, while phase 2 will put players against a Tenebrous Papilla in Genshin Impact. This lineup is what convinces me that Kinich will thrive.

Genshin Impact 5.6's Leaked Spiral Abyss Lineup May See Kinich Thriving

Using A Burning Team May Be Essential

The second half of each of these stages in Spiral Abyss’ leaked Floor 12 from Version 5.6 will easily benefit Kinich as a Dendro DPS, especially if he is inserted into a Burning team comp. One of the most straightforward reasons is the 75% buff to Characters’ Elemental Skill Dendro DMG, which directly boosts Kinich’s powers since the majority of his damage output stems from the usage of his Elemental Skill – as he links to enemies and fires shots at enemies, this is considered Elemental Skill DMG, making Kinich’s build in Genshin Impact very compatible with the rumored buff.

Furthermore, Kinich is a particularly good Dendro DPS to face all three of the stages’ opponent,ts thanks to how he can team up with Pyro units, particularly. The Lava Dragon Statue boss, introduced in Version 5.5, has a mechanic that makes it extremely resistant to all types of DMG, but after continuously hitting it with Pyro Attacks, it will lose HP and become vulnerable for a short period. At this point, players will then want to go all-in with their damage output.

As such, using Mavuika’s off-field Pyro attacks in Genshin Impact can quickly make the boss vulnerable, creating an opening for Kinich to then trigger Burning or Burgeon reactions.

A similar logic can be applied to the Tenebrous Mimifloras and Tenebrous Papilla: Type I in Floor 12’s second and third stages. While they don’t share the same mechanic employed by the Lava Dragon Statue, these opponents are vulnerable to continuous Nightsoul and Elemental attacks, so using a team capable of quickly dealing damage from both sources, such as Kinich and Mavuika in Genshin Impact, can quickly dispatch them. Ideally, to face the Tenebrous enemies, a Hyperbloom team would be best, but given the necessity for Pyro against the Lava Dragon Statue, Burning or Burgeon teams have to suffice.

Spiral Abyss' Floor 12 In Genshin Impact 5.6 Seems Like A Tough Challenge

Escoffier May Be A Must-Have For The First Half Stages

While Kinich is expected to be the best Dendro DPS to run in the second half portion of Floor 12, based on the leaks (though Nahida and Alhaitham could also work well), the leaked first half stages of the final floor in Version 5.6’s Spiral Abyss update could be a bit more complicated. The rumored buff to Characters’ Elemental Skill Cryo DMG is clearly pushing toward Cryo characters, further proving the leaks that suggest the long-awaited arrival of the Cryo meta in Genshin Impact. As such, Cryo DPS characters like Wriothesley, Ganyu, and Ayaka may make great units to run.

It’s worth noting that Wriothesley’s, Ganyu’s, and Ayaka’s main sources of continuous Cryo DMG output don’t stem from their Elemental Skills but, instead, their Normal and Charged Attacks.

Another character should thrive during the first half of the leaked Floor 12 stages. As was mentioned, Escoffier is expected to be a 5-star Cryo sub-DPS, and based on her aforementioned leaks, her off-field Cryo DMG comes from her Elemental Skill. By tapping it, Escoffier is said to create a Cooking Mek device that follows the main character, periodically dealing Cryo DMG against nearby enemies, so she may be the definitive solution for the first half stages. Players should only be wary of Escoffier’s Elemental Skill in Genshin Impact, as she can create a non-combat version of the Cooking Mek.

Because Cryo main DPS characters wouldn’t be able to take full advantage of the first half’s rumored buff, players could instead opt to use other types of DPS characters, such as Pyro or Hydro units, to trigger Melt and Freeze, respectively. A powerful and consistent Pyro DPS like Arlecchino could work well alongside Escoffier, for example, while using a Hydro DPS like Neuvillette could ensure that the enemies are not only constantly Frozen but also taking loads of damage to their health.

Because of the scarcity of enemies on the field, I’d recommend not using Mualani. Despite being able to deal a large amount of DMG, her build-up can be quite slow, and in an activity like the Spiral Abyss, where time is of the essence, she could set you back.

Overall, it seems like the first half of the leaked Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss in Version 5.6 will lack a perfect DPS character to challenge it, though Escoffier may be the best unit to employ, even if she is a sub-DPS. The second half, however, seems to be crafted for Kinich, especially if he is aided by a Pyro enabler and Emilie to buff Burning reactions in Genshin Impact.
