Leaks about the new saurian type in new saurian types in Genshin Impact 5.2 (Qucusaur and Iktomisaur).

With a sixth and final tribe of Natlan remaining, the Collective of Plenty, it’s expected that one final saurian type will be introduced to represent it, and that may happen soon. The Version 5.5 beta tests have started, allowing several details about the content to be leaked and shared. The rumors have already provided information about the gameplay kits for Varesa and Iansan, for example, two confirmed characters for the next patch who hail from the Collective of Plenty. There have also been leaks about a new Natlan area in Genshin Impact 5.5, where the tribe is allegedly located.

New Saurian Type (Tatankasaur) Has Leaked For Genshin Impact 5.5

The Leaked Creature Seems To Resemble A Ram

While it was already known that the sixth saurian type was called Tatankasaur based on the in-game lore, the creature’s appearance and its unique abilities had not been seen yet. Now, that has changed thanks to the Version 5.5 leaks. As can be seen in a video provided by the leaker known as Kazusaleaks, which was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Varesa in Genshin Impact 5.5.

A new Artifact set from Genshin Impact 5.5 has leaked and it may become Xiao’s BiS, but that’s actually bittersweet news for players who use him.

The character then uses a nearby Tatankasaur Spiritconce to indwell the saurian. The creature can then be seen running through the lands in Natlan, using a Phlogiston-fueled charging attack to move quickly and occasionally pounce on the ground, dealing what seems like AoE (area of effect) Electro DMG. The Tatankasaur can also be seen leaping from cliff ledges and headbutting the ground for what also seems like AoE Electro DMG. Aside from its movement and attacks, there is yet another element of the leaked footage for the Tatankasaur that grabs attention.

Like Teptlisaurs replicate Kachina’s enhanced movement and Yumkasaurs replicate Kinich’s grapple hooks, Tatankasaurs seem to replicate a portion of Varesa’s kit in Genshin Impact 5.5, rumored to revolve around charging quickly.

Tatankasaur Saurians In Genshin Impact 5.5 May Be Impervious To Fall DMG

The Leaked Footage Makes It Seem Like They Don’t Sustain Damage

From what can be seen in the leaked footage, it seems like Tatankasaur saurians are either impervious to Fall DMG altogether or at least a bit more resistant to it than other saurians. It’s worth noting that, during saurian indwelling, the player takes a lot less Fall DMG than they would if they were controlling a regular character. This is especially true in the case of the flying Yumkisaur. However, the leaked video shows the Tatankasaur falling from considerable heights a few times, propelled by its charging abilities, and seemingly not taking damage in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 5.5 New Artifacts Leaks Seem To Show How Skirk Will Work In The New Update

Two new Artifact sets have been leaked for Genshin Impact 5.5 and one of them may have just revealed how Skirk’s gameplay kit will work.

The footage does not showcase the Tatankasaur’s health bar to confirm or deny this speculation, but when the creature is propelled forward, falling from a cliff, it does not seem to sustain any Fall DMG. The process repeats after the video shows the saurian dropping from an even higher cliff and proceeding normally. This may be a consequence of its special Phlogiston enhancements or part of its sturdy nature. Of course, there is also a chance it does take damage under these circumstances, like other Natlan saurians in Genshin Impact, even though the video leads to another interpretation possibility.

Tatankasaur’s Leaked Gameplay Design In Genshin Impact 5.5 Feels Bland

The Creature’s Main Ability Seems To Be Running Quickly

Despite the possibility of it not sustaining Fall DMG, which may soon be debunked, Tatankasaurs feel like the blandest saurians to date, based on the leaked footage. Their increased movement mechanic revolves around running quicker than usual, which just seems simplistic when compared to burrowing, grappling, swimming, and flying mechanics provided by the other saurians. Surely, running as with Tatankasaurs can and will likely improve exploration in Genshin Impact’s Natlan region, but its leaked gameplay design feels less attractive.

Genshin Impact 5.5 Leaks: Iansan Materials Can Already Be Farmed, But There's Bad News About Her Talent Books

The list of Iansan’s Ascension and Talent materials in Genshin Impact 5.5 has leaked and players can farm most of the items, but there’s bad news.

Leaks should always be taken with a grain of salt, and this is no different. As reliable as the leaked footage may seem, the details about the Tatankasaur’s abilities and how it will look and work are still highly subject to change during the beta tests, so what was recorded may not be the final version. There are still a few weeks before players access Genshin Impact 5.5 and, in the meantime, they should enjoy their return to the region of Inazuma for a limited-time flagship event.
