The new weekly boss from leaked characters for Genshin Impact 5.3, attention is mostly focused on them.
Despite how relevant the arrival of four new playable units is to the game’s meta, there are also several leaks about the other aspects of the content in the patch. There have been rumors about minor quality-of-life updates, such as an expansion to the Artifact inventory limit. Leaks also detail the events in the patch, including the annual Lantern Rite Festival, and even the new world boss in Genshin Impact 5.3, which may be the first human enemy of that category. Now, a new leak has emerged, showcasing what may be a very well-designed and powerful weekly boss from Natlan.
New Weekly Boss’ Design In Genshin Impact 5.3 Has Leaked
The Enemy Has A Dragon-Like Aspect
The new weekly boss has leaked, despite none of the information mentioning their possible name so far. Nevertheless, all the leaks show what seems like a long serpent-like dragon carrying elements that resemble the Abyss’s corruption and influence. The black and purple dragon has two wings that float off of its back. Most importantly, the new weekly boss from Version 5.3 seems to carry two distinct swords, one imbued with Abyssal power, while the other is surrounded by Pyro. The Genshin Impact 5.3 weekly boss’ leaked key art was shared in a post tagged as “Reliable” on Reddit.

Genshin Impact 5.3 Leaks Hint At Update You've Been Waiting For Ages To Happen
A great system optimization update for Artifacts may occur in Genshin Impact 5.3, allowing players to have a better time when farming them.
Although the leaked art provides some insight into what the boss looks like, there have been other leaks about the opponent. One such leak was provided by Jelena, which showcases the boss’ model renders. The leak was shared on bosses in Dark Souls games, but even more has leaked.
The color of its dual blades resembles those carried by Pontiff Sulyvahn from Dark Souls 3 and Rellana from Elden Ring, while its dragon-like form carrying swords resembles Lichdragon Fortissax, also from Elden Ring.
Footage Of The Weekly Boss In Genshin Impact 5.3 Has Leaked
Phase 1 Of The Combat Can Be Seen In The Leaked Video
In addition to the images, there is also leaked footage showing the weekly boss in action during a fight – at least during its first phase of combat. The video was obtained by the leaker known as Kazusa, which was then shared in a post on Reddit. The video shows that the leaked boss starts the battle only using its Pyro sword. With it, it deals massive attacks by slamming the weapon on the floor. With its left hand, the boss summons Abyssal orbs to attack the active character in the Genshin Impact team comp.

Genshin Impact 5.3's Leaked Events Show The Next Update Will Be Massive
New leaks about Genshin Impact 5.3 include details about the events and what looks like the Lantern Rite, which should make for a huge patch.
Its leaked set of moves also includes slashes. Based on the leaked footage, the boss can also teleport around the arena on occasion and summon a storm of Abyssal energy to rain down on the field. After some time, the rumored weekly boss summons its Abyssal sword and starts using both blades in combat – at this point, it will also fire an Abyssal beam from its mouth. After this, the video shows that the Genshin Impact boss exits the arena and slightly transforms it. When this occurs, a few orbs with health bars will appear on the field.
The leaker does not do this, but these orbs likely need to be destroyed to quickly bring the weekly boss back into the arena. While it remains outside of this altered field, it will deal some sort of AoE attack at the active character’s position, so it seems like players will need to be constantly moving around to avoid damage.
If the leaked footage is true, players could also protect themselves with a shield from characters such as Zhongli or even Citlali in Genshin Impact.
Once this part of the battle ends, the leaked boss will crash the field at high speed, much like Radahn does upon entering his second phase in Elden Ring. At this point, the leaked footage shows that the boss resumes its sequence of attacks, firing projectiles when swinging its swords, somewhat like the aforementioned Rellana from Shadow of the Erdtree. In addition to occasionally teleporting, the leaked dragon-boss from Genshin Impact 5.3 can seemingly move around in a cloud of smoke, whilst becoming invulnerable, much like Dragonlord Placidusax in Elden Ring.
At this point, the leaker ends the battle by using a team comp structured with Kazuha, Citlali, the Pyro Traveler, and Mavuika. Once the leaked dragon boss is defeated in this instance of battle, it is expected that it will commence the second phase of battle. This portion of the fight is implied to exist thanks to the fact that the leaks mention that the footage only shows the first phase. For now, there has not been a leak showcasing what the second phase of the battle against this leaked weekly boss in Genshin Impact 5.3 looks like.

Genshin Impact 5.4 Leaks Show The Game's Most Underrated Region Is Getting A New Character
There are leaks about a new character in Genshin Impact 5.4 and their Nation could mean a return to one of the game’s most underrated regions.
So far, the database does not mention which materials will be used by the Pyro Traveler upon their release. Nevertheless, it does seem like beating this boss will be necessary for players looking to max out the powers of either of the two mentioned characters. As the beta tests continue, more details about the leaked boss, including its possible name and its materials should arise. There is even a chance that this boss is actually Xiuhcoatl, the Pyro Sovereign from Genshin Impact.
For now, despite the credibility of the leaks, this information should be considered with some caution. As it stems from tests, the details are still highly subject to change. However, seeing the leaked weekly boss’ design and abilities is truly reminiscent of games in the Soulslike series, and, seeing how bosses from those games are memorable, it creates hope that this new weekly boss could become one of the best opponents in Genshin Impact so far.
