With every new season, this season's bosses. This is because many weapons get vaulted due to their power and efficiency, so most players always keep an eye on what strong weapons are coming back or being released. So any player that wants to do well should know what's coming.

On the opposite side, some weapons get sent back to the vault. This is normally not permanent, although this has happened to some, and they've never seen the light of day again. Either way, knowing what weapons will be gone is also in players' best interest, because then they know not to look for that weapon on the battlefield. Knowing what weapons were vaulted and unvaulted near the beginning of a Fortnite season can help get a leg up on the competition.

All Weapons Released To Players

Unvaulted weapons tend to go hand in hand with new weapons in Fortnite. This is because, technically, all weapons are in the vault until they're sent back out. There isn't an exceptional number of weapons being unvaulted in Chapter 6 Season 1, only 16 so far, so players likely won't have too much trouble trying them all. Luckily, other perks like the Fortnite Crew subscription can keep things fresh more frequently during the season.

Unfortunately, this is a pretty small crop, even put together. This seems particularly small when players think about how there were over 60 vaulted weapons this season. It's a hard hit to take, but this is how things go in Fortnite. It looks like the new weapons on the list are worth trying out, because nothing too powerful has been sent back out to players. So the best thing to do is to figure out which of the new weapons is the most powerful.

The list tends to grow through updates and balances, so later in the season there will be more unvaulted. However, that will be balanced out as other weapons return to the vault. Epic Games doesn't tend to take vaulting and unvaulting lightly, but the studio is consistent because it's always updating the list of what is coming and going. So players should just keep an eye out for new weapons, even if it's in the middle of a season.

In Fortnite, "vaulting" a weapon means removing it completely from the game. Players can no longer find it anywhere. The developer, Epic Games, uses this to keep the game balanced and fun. It might vault a weapon if it's too powerful and makes other weapons useless, allowing it to be adjusted before bringing it back. However, this group is particularly large and is a huge loss to players.

Sometimes a weapon is simply underused or doesn't fit the current game style, so it will be vaulted to freshen things up. Vaulting isn't permanent; weapons often return later, sometimes with changes. This constant change keeps the game exciting, forcing players to try new things and adapt, and extends beyond weapons to things like Chapter 6 Season 1's NPCs. Fortnite is constantly balancing its combat and gameplay so everyone feels like it's fair. The ratio this season leans heavily on the vaulted side, so it feels like more of a loss than fair.
