If you're wondering how to get more health charges in The First Berserker: Khazan, you'll need to track down the additional Netherworld Energy orbs found scattered around the game's various regions. Netherworld Energy is the vessel by which Khazan heals, and you will start the game with three initial charges. This can be further increased to nine Netherworld Energy charges, giving you a better chance of surviving the trials and tribulations throughout Khazan.

These Netherworld Energy orbs are especially important when dealing with some mid- to late-game bosses in First Berskerker: Khazan, and can be a serious difference-maker in tight battles. You won't get your first Netherworld Energy charge upgrade until you defeat Blade Phantom and enter the Embars Ruins, so you're confined to three charges while you learn the ropes. However, if you make it to the late-game bosses and didn't pick up the extra Netherworld Energy, I'd highly recommend returning to grab them.

Khazan Starts With Three, But You'll Have To Track Down Five On Your Own

Three Netherworld Energy orbs are automatically granted when you start the game, and are the primary method of healing. Netherworld Energy is one of your only lifelines in the game's early stages, as you won't have much access to skills that restore health. Other less effective items can be used to heal a small amount of health, such as Soul Tear Dust, but if health is a concern, you'll want to invest in the Vitality stat early in The First Berserker: Khazan on and reserve your Netherworld Energy charges for emergency situations only, which there will be plenty of.

Crafting gear sets in The First Berserker: Khazan requires unique crafting materials that can be acquired from farming their corresponding bosses.

However, after getting past the initial push, you can track down five additional Netherworld Energy orbs during story missions, giving you some extra charges. Hence, you stand a better chance against enemies such as Elamein in The First Berserker: Khazan or Trokka. All together, you can have up to nine Netherworld Energy health charges, with the ninth being part of a gear set bonus from the Ashen Wolf set. Where To Find Every Netherworld Energy Upgrade

Embars Ruins Netherworld Energy Location

The first Netherworld Energy upgrade you can grab can be found in Embars Ruins. Starting from the Forgotten Temple Entrance, head straight up the giant staircase until you reach a chamber with a red glowing area and another massive staircase. Ascend the stairs and hang a right at the top, following the path through a metal gate.

The First Berserker Khazan: All Jarling Locations & Rewards

There are 44 different Jarlings spread out across the various areas in The First Berserker: Khazan, so don't forget to smash these jars as you go.

Go into this area and look directly to your right for an opening in the balustrade. Drop down through this opening, and you'll see the Bard there on the left, from which you can buy a few useful items while there. Afterward, go right up the stairs and grab the glowing Netherworld Energy at the end of the bridge.

Skoffa Cave Netherworld Energy Location

From the Collapsed Mine Blade Nexus in Skoffa Cave, climb the ladder and prepare to block the barrage of bats that nail you at the top so you don't fall off. From here, you'll need to climb the scaffolding and defeat or run past all the spider enemies. When you finally reach the top of the main path, you'll see a fork in the beams. Go left here and follow that path around to grab the Netherworld energy at the top of the beam.

El Ravaca Village Netherworld Energy Location

From the Underground Water Facility Blade Nexus, head down the ladder and into the chamber with the Revenant Devourer. You can run past this fish monster to avoid the buildup of hallucinations, climbing the ladders to enter the pipe. Follow the pipe path without making any turns, and once you exit, hang a left. Follow the spider-infested rooms until you find a ladder leading up to another pipe. Go left at the top, and take every left you can until you see the Netherworld Energy in the middle of a room with dead bodies on the floor.

Wastus Canyon Netherworld Energy Location

First Berserker Khazan Netherworld Energy Wastus Canyon Location

From the Destroyed Ruins Blade Nexus, you can get this Netherworld Energy upgrade by simply following the path straight forward past all the pulsing red trees. Before you exit the first area with all the trees, head left instead of going right through the gate and grab the glowing Netherworld Energy there next to some jars.

Great Temple Underground Ruins

From the Forbidden age Blade Nexus, go up the stairs and make your first left into the hallway, make another left, and follow that to a room with statues on the other side of an opening. Go left here again, and follow that path until you see a ladder in front of a large statue that leads down. Follow the path forward until you see a hole in the floor, and drop into the plague-infested area to get a brutal attack from behind on the enemy below.

Be sure to have some Plague Resistance Elixirs and Plague Cleanse Potions while exploring the Great Temple Underground Ruins.

After clearing that room, open the door and follow the bloodied water until you reach a fork, then hang a right. You'll enter another room and go through the door to the right, then follow that path forward until you see a glowing pink item in front of you. Make a right again, then you'll be on the upper level of the room you were in before. Go around to the other side and grab the glowing Netherworld Energy.

How To Get The Ashen Wolf Set

The Ashen Wolf Set Gives Khazan An Extra Netherworld Charge

The Ashen Wolf set is your final resource for additional Netherworld Energy charges. This set can be crafted very early on for the blacksmith in The First Berserker: Khazan, and with five pieces equipped, it provides an extra Netherworld Energy charge. This is the only way in the game to get nine total Netherworld Energy charges. You can find the Ashen Wolf scroll in Phraugh Village from the Central Storehouse Entrance very early during the "First Act of Revenge" mission.

You'll likely grab most of these Netherworld Energy charge upgrades while you explore and complete the game naturally, as they aren't typically too far off the beaten path. The Ashen Wolf set in The First Berserker: Khazan is another excellent resource for gaining an additional charge, but it is a greatsword set and might not be ideal for every playstyle. In my view, eight Netherworld charges are more than enough to get you through even the late-stage bosses, but it's a pretty versatile set even if you don't use the greatsword for its full bonuses.
