Along with a host of raider content, Fallout 4's Nuka-World DLC lets the Sole Survivor explore the pre-war amusement park to look for Cappy hidden figures. While the raiders will want their new Overboss to clear areas for them to take over, there is also an ongoing scavenger hunt quest called "Cappy in a Haystack" that can be completed alongside. With 10 different hidden figures to find dotted all over the theme park, it can be very easy to miss crucial parts of this strange quest.

As the last Fallout 4 DLC released, Nuka-World offers the largest area outside the base game to delve into. With a large area outside the walls to explore, the amusement park is divided into six zones inside the park, which must be divided between the three raider factions who call Nuka-World home. Each zone has its theme and enemies, making battling through Nuka-World a unique experience while hunting for loot and collectibles.

How To Start The "Cappy In A Haystack" Quest

Sierra Is Usually Close To Fizztop Grille

Sierra Petrovita greets the player in Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC

The quest "Cappy in a Haystack" can be started immediately after being named the new Overboss in Nuka-Town USA by speaking with a strange woman called Sierra Petrovita. Sierra is a returning character from Fallout 3 and a Nuka-Cola fanatic who will ask for help with an old pre-war competition. All over Nuka-World are 10 hidden Cappy figures that will spell out a world and help Sierra add something special to her Nuka-Cola museum.

Sierra will give the player a pair of special sunglasses needed to see the hidden clues. Unlike other glasses, these will not work under power armor unless the armor’s helmet is removed.

South & West Nuka-World Zones Cappy Location

1 In Nuka-Town, 2 In Galactic Zone & 2 In Dry Rock Gulch

Starting in Nuka-Town, USA, there is a Cappy just to the southwest of the Sole Survivor's new home in Fizztop Grille. Standing in the flooded area at the foot of Fizztop, head southwest towards some bathrooms. Go around to the left of the bathrooms, and close to a sign for stroller ,drop-off, there will be the Cappy with the letter G against the wall.

There are two Cappy figures hidden in the Galactic Zone, the futuristic theme area of the park. The first is easy to find and is directly behind the Starport Control Center, right across from the main entrance into the area. When standing facing the entrance, turn left and follow the wall around to a locked gate and an employee-only sign. On the low wall close to the employee sign is the Cappy with the letter S.

To find the second Cappy in the Galactic Zone, turn around from the entrance of the Starport, and once down the short ramp, turn left and head up a set of stairs. Follow the stairs up and round until turning left to face the Spacewalk up to the RobCo Battlezone. On a wall to the left of the Spacewalk entrance, next to some trash cans, is a Cappy with the letter R.

10 Fallout 4 Side Quests You'll Definitely Want To Finish

Fallout 4 is a game packed full of great quests, both big and small. But which out of the plethora of side quests on offer are worth completing?

There are two more Cappy to find in the Wild West-themed zone of Dry Rock Gulch. To the south of Doc Phosphate's Saloon is the Giddyup Kid's ranch, and just to the west of that is a cemetery with a smattering of gravestones. Going into the small cemetery and checking the back of the tombstones will reveal a Cappy with the letter E.

The second Cappy in Dry Rock Gulch is found within the broken-down ride of Mad Mulligan's Minecart Coaster. Entering the ride, head down a mining tunnel and along the walkway until it opens into a cavern with a waterfall. Down to the left is a shack containing two sleeping bags with a Cappy with the letter H on the outer wall facing the walkway.

When all the Cappy clues have been found, it will spell out the word "REFRESHING," which Sierra can use to unlock a secret area.

North & East Nuka-World Zones Cappy Location

2 In Safari Adventure, 1 In World Of Refreshment & 2 In Kiddie Kingdom

There are two Cappy to discover in the Safari Adventure zone, although one is a little easier to locate than the other. The first can be found by starting at the zone's main entrance and following the wall eastwards to the market before continuing east and then slightly north to find the Primate House. In front of the building is a gorilla statue, and by going through the hedges to the right, the Ca,ppy with the letter N can be seen on the base of the statue.

The second Cappy is within the hedge maze surrounding Cappy's Treehouse. It is very easy to get turned around in this area, so to find the clue from the entrance, go right, right, left, left, and then right. The Cappy with the letter E is at the bottom of a dead end on a stone wall.

There is only one Cappy clue within the World of Refreshment Ride and Plant. Following the glowing Nuka-Cola Quantum River, eventually, there will be a two-story building directly across from the Nuka Wild sign in the Wild West section. When facing the building, go to the right, and the Cappy with the letter R will be on the wall.

The final two Cappy clues are found in the fantasy-themed Kiddy Kingdom. The first can be found by leaving King Cola's Court by the bridge and turning right to see a damaged red tower. Following the stairs to the top, the Cappy with the letter I will be on the wall on the left.

Finally, the Cappy is a little trickier to find as it's located in the Fun House, which is notoriously disorienting. Following the path through the Fun House, there will eventually be a room with a spinning floor, where the aim is to find the exit door. When entering, the Cappy with the letter F is behind the second door to the left.

All that is left to do after finding all the Cappy clues is to return to Sierra, who will piece together the letters and unlock Bradberton's office. Once inside, Sierra will lead the Sole Survivor down into a secret vault to the next stage of the quest and the potential for an evil choice in Fallout 4. But regardless of the final o, the hunt for the Cappy clues is a fun way to explore every nook and cranny of Nuka-World.
