Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero's Episode Battles for Vegeta can lead to two unique endings you can unlock that drastically change the Saiyan Prince's story. These fun what-if? scenarios change the established path of this popular character from the Dragon Ball series you would normally expect. However, only the most skilled combatants can meet the requirements needed to reach these secret endings.

There are eight characters with their own Sparking Episodes in DB: Sparking! Zero, or secret endings that change their path from the established lore. For example, one Sparking Episode sees Goku survive his encounter with Raditz at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z's tale. For Vegeta, there are two endings you can reach that take place during the Android Saga and Majin Buu Saga of his episodic story.

How To Unlock Vegeta's "Parental Bond" Ending

Fight Fast And Without Mercy

The first of Vegeta's alternate endings you can unlock is called "Parental Bond," which takes place during the Android/Cell Saga of the character's Episode Battles. Ordinarily, the main story of this arc would result in Vegeta's early defeat at the hands of Android 18. However, with you in control, you can change the Saiyan Prince's fate after he has disposed of Android 19 earlier.

How Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero's Into The Third Future Endings Work

There are different endings in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, including a canon ending to the Into The Third Future arc, but finding them all is tricky.

Progress through Vegeta's story until you reach the "Wind-Up Doll" Episode Battle. With Vegeta only having the basic Super Saiyan transformation in DB: Sparking! Zero at this point, your moveset will be slightly limited compared to the character's other forms he'll get later in his Episodes. During this Battle, you have to defeat Android 18 quickly to unlock the alternate story path.

You do not need to conserve Skill Points on transforming into a Super Saiyan during the "Wind-UP Doll" Episode Battle quest, as you begin the fight in that form already.

Thankfully, you do not need to completely reduce Android 18's health, you only have to reduce it enough to end the battle in under three minutes. This time constraint can make this fight difficult, as you have to build Skill Points quickly to deal with higher damage attacks. Focus on being unrelenting, using your strongest attacks at the right time to take out Android 18's health fast.

Once you take out Android 18, you will find Vegeta in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with Trunks. Here, you have to defeat Super Trunks quickly in the same way as you did against Android 18 to make him reveal his bulkier Super Saiyan form. Doing this will change Vegeta's training philosophy while in the Chamber, leading to the alternate Episode ending.

From here, you just need to defeat Perfect Cell in every fight as he shows up not once, not twice, but three separate times. These fights get progressively harder, so make sure to use Ability Items in DB: Sparking! Zero if you need them. Once you finally take down Perfect Cell for the last time, the cutscene that plays after shows you the "Parental Bond" ending between Vegeta and Trunks.

How To Unlock Vegeta's "Number One Spot" Ending

Resist The Temptation Of Power

Vegeta's other secret ending, "Number One Spot," only becomes available when you complete a secret objective along the story path in the Majin Buu arc. At the beginning of the Saga, defeat Trunks without taking a hit during the "Preparing for the World Tournament" Episode Battle. This goal can be quite difficult, even though you are fighting a much younger version of Trunks.

One of the easiest ways to defeat Kid Trunks without taking damage is to knock him away and charge up to Sparking Mode, then use your Ultimate attack or beam special moves to keep the character from ever getting too close.

If you manage to accomplish this task, a new option will show up when you encounter the character Babidi during the "Wicked Heart" Episode. Choose to "Shake off brainwashing" to resist becoming Majin Vegeta at all. This is a major departure from the Saga's normal story, immediately charting your course to the Sparking Episode ending.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero - Should You Work With Piccolo?

Here is whether you should work together with Piccolo in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero against Raditz or go it alone and see what happens.

Following this choice, you have to defeat Dabura and Babidi in quick succession. While neither are the strongest fighters in DB: Sparking! Zero, they have some tricks up their sleeves that you'll have to adapt to throughout each fight. Finally, to unlock the Sparking Episode, you have to defeat Goku in your base form without transforming.

On the bright side, Goku won't transform either, turning the contest into a simple one of pure strength. Managing to take down Vegeta's rival will unlock the last of the Saiyan Prince's alternate endings in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, allowing you to see how different his story could be.
