As a not-quite-open-world RPG, getting to know their traveling companions in a series of companion quests, or simply helping locals and factions with shorter, less earth-shattering side quests. Very little the player does will not involve questing in some way, shape, or form, so understanding which quests are available is vital to getting the full Veilguard experience.
But of course, some quests are easier to come by than others. While story quests will naturally unfold in a regular, linear fashion, some side quests have to be sniffed out. Still others are time-limited, and will disappear for good once the player has progressed the story past a particular point. Therefore, for anyone trying to obtain 100% completion, or simply to see as much of the world of Thedas as possible, it's important to know which quests are available when. To that end, this is every main, side, and companion quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Review - A Beautiful And Engaging Journey
Dragon Age: The Veilguard continues the story of the Dragon Age series with stunning graphics and deep narratives for large and small quests.
Each of the following quests represents a stage of that story, whether it's a massive, pivotal event that shifts the whole thing forward in leaps, or a brief side conversation that takes place between two bigger segments. Either way, the player must complete every one of the following 36 quests in order to beat Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
- "The End of the Beginning"
- "In Entropy's Grasp"
- "Shadows Crossing"
- "The Singing Blade"
- "Sea of Blood"
- "The Smuggled Relic Case"
- "Shadows of Minrathous"
- "In Peace, Vigilance"
- "A Warden's Best Friend" (point of no return for some side quests)
- "On Deadly Wings" or "On Blighted Wings," depending on whether Rook chooses to help Minrathous or Treviso in the previous quest
- "Completing the Veilguard"
- "The Dragon Slayer"
- "Where the Dead Must Go"
- "Shades of the Blight"
- "Something Wrong"
- "A Change on the Wind"
- "The Siege of Weisshaupt"
- "After the Storm"
- "The Cobbled Swan Case"
- "The Cauldron"
- "Fire and Ice"
- "Unwanted Guests"
- "Grim Bonds"
- "Blood of Arlathan"
- "The Words of the Wolf"
- "Legacies and Legends"
- "For the Love of Treviso"
- "To Act as One"
- "When Plans Align"
- "The Shadowed Sun"
- "Isle of the Gods"
- "A Cage for Gods"
- "The Dragon and the Dread Wolf"
- "The Last Gambit"
- "One Last Breath"
- "The Dread Wolf Rises"
Each of these quests naturally leads into the next one. Note that several of these quests are points of no return for the regions in which they take place, with the ultimate point of no return being "When Plans Align." The game warns players which quests are time-limited, but not which ones will lock them out of certain side content. As a result, for those interested in seeing as much of the game as possible, it's best to prioritize completing side quests first.
Every Companion Side Quest
Getting To Know You
The bulk of the time players spend outside the main quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be spent with companions, each of whom has a series of side quests that develop their storyline. Rook will get closer with their companions over the course of these quests, eventually gaining the opportunity to romance them by the end of the chain. Note that almost every companion quest has an unlock condition, only becoming available after a certain story quest, and in some cases, becoming unavailable after another one. Do keep this in mind, and try to pace companion quests with the main story.

Companion quests are largely divided into conversations, outings, and other. Conversations are simply brief dialogue scenes that can take place almost anywhere. Outings are dialogue scenes accompanied by exploration through a particular quest-relevant area; there's usually no combat involved. Other companion quests may involve exploring larger areas with a particular goal in mind, which may include a couple of combat encounters. Note that many of these companion quests become unavailable after "The Siege of Weisshaupt" and "A Warden's Best Friend", and many are unlocked after "Fire and Ice."
Every Side Quest By Region
The Veilguard's Main Regions & Side Quests
Side quests in The Veilguard are divided up by region, as players progress from each region to the next in a linear fashion, unlocking new content along the way. The party will leave each region during a particular main quest, after which all the side quests there will become unavailable. As a result, it's best to pace these side quests out evenly, completing them as they become available, so as not to miss out on anything by progressing the main quest too far.
