Dino Crisis fans have waited patiently for Capcom to return to the cult-classic survival-horror franchise and it finally seems like that the developer is ready to unleash the beasts. Following the remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4, players have been hopeful that Capcom will eventually give Dino Crisis the same treatment. Given how the franchises share a great deal of DNA, it stands to reason that giving Regina and her scaly enemies an upgrade wouldn't be too far out of the question.

Per in an official Capcom poll, as the series fans would most like to see recieve a new game. Whether or not the filing is connected to the poll remains to be seen, but it stands to reason that Capcom would listen to fans' regarding future projects.

Dino Crisis Deserves The Spotlight Again

It Can Step Out Of Resident Evil's Shadow

Dino Crisis has been making waves recently as the original title and its sequel were re-released for PC on GOG in January 2025. While the games didn't boast any gameplay improvements, they could be considered remasters as they were adjusted to run smoothly on Windows 10 and 11 and sport some minor upgrades like 4K resolutions and modern controller . The move was well-recieved among the community as some players believe it was Capcom testing the waters regarding the possibility of a new installment.

Given the success of the foundations are still strong 25 years later.

Capcom Would Be Smart To Remake Dino Crisis

It Should Be Easy Money!

Given the revival of the survival-horror genre, providing players with an opportunity to revist Dino Crisis with a fresh coat of paint just makes sense. Having recently played the first game, it holds up remarkably well and I can easily imagine it being tweaked to play more like Resident Evil 4. It's always fun to shoot a raging T-Rex, so hopefully fans can take this recent trademark filing as a sign of something more to come.
