Before you can use a team to win the National Championship in Dynasty Mode for EA Sports College Football 25, you have to recruit players from around the country. Not every athlete will want to your program right away, so you need to invest time in cultivating their interest. This process can be complicated and have many limitations if you are unaware of the parameters given to you.
The in-depth Dynasty Mode in College Football 25 begins with you selecting a Coach with a "Backstory" archetype to lead your team. While Coach classes each have different benefits, the Recruiter archetype is the best because it gives you a bonus to nearly every aspect of recruiting in this mode. From faster scouting to more hours available for your program, picking this type of coach should be your first step.

EA Sports College Football 25: All Mental Abilities & How To Use Them
The Road to Glory mode in College Football 25 has a variety of mental abilities your custom athlete can choose to grant ive buffs before a game.
How To Use The Recruiting Board
Understand What Prospects Are Offering To Your Team
Recruiting starts with the Recruiting Board, a list of thousands of players from around the country eager to start competing for different programs. Your goal is always to make your program the top pick of players you want to recruit, but this task is harder depending on who you want. Players are organized by positions and star Ratings, with four to five-star athletes being the hardest people to pin down.
One excellent resource for navigating the Recruiting Board is the Team Builder for College Football 25, an external site you can visit when logged into your EA Sports .
Keep in mind that every player has a choice to accept your offer to your team or reject you for another program. Therefore, you only need to try to recruit athletes who fill a specific "Need" for your team. Your program gives you a certain amount of hours to invest in recruiting players, with larger schools like Ohio State or Alabama receiving more hours compared to smaller programs like Akron or Miami (OH).
This scouting process requires you to spend hours completing activities with players you want to slowly but surely put your school up in their top picks. Your mission should be to make your program eventually become an athlete's Top Pick over anyone else in the country. As you can see in the above video by YouTube creator T4G Sports, this process is delicate and requires careful planning over multiple in-game weeks.
How Do Pipelines Affect Recruiting?
Select Top Players That Are Close To Home
One of the most important factors in recruiting players is what "Pipeline" region they are from and its proximity to your program. It is easier to recruit players closer to the Pipeline you chose when creating your team's coach at the beginning of Dynasty Mode. The best Pipelines in College Football 25 typically have larger pools of strong players for you to recruit to make your team far stronger than others.

What College Football 25 Pipeline Should You Choose For Your Dynasty Team?
College Football 25 returns with a focus on immersive recruitment, and the first step is the Pipeline system, which can be hard to learn initially.
While states determine many Pipelines, they are divided by the caliber of players in the area and real-world data taken to define a certain area's talent availability. Smaller Pipelines are harder to recruit from, but they could still have a five-star player waiting to receive an offer. The further away a Pipeline is, the more Influence you need to build with an athlete to make them travel farther away from home.
Pipelines often determine the challenge of your season. Talent is easier to find in populated regions, while you may struggle to find a star player in a program nestled in smaller parts of the country.
Every Activity Used To Recruit Potential Players
Divide Your Time To Maximize Interactions
When you've found a player you want for your team, you can invest time in various activities to win them over to your program. Every player has unique needs and desires for you to play with, making this process complex and focusing on individuals rather than a universal set of steps. The top players in College Football 25 will be much harder to recruit than others, usually requiring many more activities to convince.
You should not just use the most expensive activities to win players over, as that wastes time without carefully cultivating an athlete's interest first. You want to start small before making larger offers, using data and studying what a player wants through smaller interactions. Use context clues to figure out what is the most important to a player, then focus on reinforcing why your program fulfills their needs.
Each prospect can only have 50 hours invested in them at a time unless you have the "Always Be Crootin'" coach trait that gives you an extra 20 per potential player.
Activity |
Time Investment |
Description |

Hard Sell |
40 hours |
Make a high commitment offer to a player after they have selected your program within their Top 5 Picks. |
Sway |
30 hours |
Try to make a final push to a player after they have selected your program within their Top 5 Picks. This activity is usually saved when your school is within the final three choices of an athlete. |
Schedule Visit |
40 hours |
Not counting against a player's 50-hour limit, this activity can only be done when a player has your program in their Top 5 Picks. This is the strongest convincing tool you have, as you bring players to your school directly, but you can only host four athletes at a time. |
Sway and Schedule Visit should only be used toward the end of a recruitment process as the final push needed to get a desired player to commit. Schedule Visits wisely to build chemistry between multiple players in complementing positions, such as a Quarterback with a Wide Receiver. Don't offer Soft or Hard Sells early either, as you won't be sure if a player is the right fit until you've gotten a chance to get to know them.
Other Factors That Affect Recruitment
Make Your Program Presentable Through School Grades
Even when you have a player's interest, you still have to narrow down your school from an athlete's Open Prospect to their Top 8, Top 5, Top 3, and eventual Commitment. Various factors could be deal-breakers for certain players, including your program's academics and your stadium environment in College Football 25. Staying aware of what factors could affect recruitment will help you navigate offers as you communicate with various young athletes.
The most important factors players look for in your program are called School Grades, which are organized into 14 different categories that include:
School Grade |
Description |
---|---|
Academic Prestige |
The overall academic standard set by your program. This school grade cannot be changed by your input. |
Athletic Facilities |
The quality of your gyms, practice fields, and other athletic facilities located in your program. |
Brand Exposure |
How recognizable is your team compared to other programs around the country? Are you part of a big conference like the Big Ten? Or are you harder to find? |
Campus Lifestyle |
The rating of the locations near your school's campus and the campus itself. This school grade cannot be changed by your input. |
Championship Contender |
The likelihood of your program winning the National Championship, based on its current rankings. |
Coach Prestige |
The talent or skill of your coaching staff, but especially the Head Coach you customize before starting recruitment. |
Coach Stability |
How long has your coaching staff been around? Are they likely to keep their jobs for a player's entire four years in your program? |
Conference Prestige |
The strength of the conference your team competes in. |
School Grade |
Description |
---|---|
Playing Style |
How does your team like to play? For example, do you tend to or run the ball with your Offense Playbook? |
Playing Time |
The length of time it takes for a recruit to go from fresh in your team to a consistent starter. |
Pro Potential |
How likely is a person who s your program going to end up in the NFL? |
Program Tradition |
The past successes of your team, from previous National Championship wins to awards and good words from those who've graduated from your program. |
Proximity to Home |
The distance between your program and an individual player's Pipeline region. |
Stadium Atmosphere |
The Toughest Places To Play stadium rank of your program is a factor determined by the number of home wins you usually have throughout a season. |
Once you've finally secured a player's Commitment, you must wait until g day and keep checking their status to ensure another program doesn't give them a better offer. You can only have 35 players on your recruitment board, so be careful to pick only the athletes you feel would fit your program best in EA Sports College Football 25's Dynasty Mode.
