Bungo Stray Dogs Season 5 Releases in July

Bungo Stray Dogs is an anime adaptation of the original seinen manga of the same name by Kafka Asagiri and Sango Harukawa. The series follows Atsushi Nakajima as he learns about his supernatural powers and ends up working with the Armed Detective Agency, an organization tasked with protecting the city of Yokohama. As he's trained on how to use his powers, he learns more about the seedy underbelly of Yokohama and exactly why he's been recruited. As Atsushi grows stronger, more secrets are uncovered, world-ending threats make themselves known, and a bounty is placed on his head, making him a walking target. Now, alongside many other strong detectives with unique powers, he fights against the mafia to keep the city, and himself, alive.

The trailer for Bungo Stray Dogs season 5 (released on publisher Kadowkawa's Youtube channel) is intense and exploded onto the scene, quite literally. It opens with a shot of the United Nations building, showing how high the stakes will be for the characters as tensions increase between the terrorist organization Decay of the Angel and the Armed Detective Agency. Multiple agents now must face the terrorists on their own while dealing with unique problems, unable to rely on the help of the team. Even though this is just a trailer, it doesn't shy away from violence. Instead, the heart-stopping action continues, with impressive weaponry on full display as the characters fight for their lives. Because this season comes directly after season 4, a gripping season that set a timer on the survival of each framed detective, expectations are already high for what this new season will bring for the seinen protagonist and his team.
