Riding the winds, running on the ocean water turned to ice, and building up momentum, Storm punishes one pirate with a strong kick to the chest. As she forges her own heroic path, the X-Men legend and current Avenger continues to showcase her superhero power beyond just wielding lightning.

Since writer Murewa Ayodele has dubbed her new silver-white and gold costume the “Brutal Storm” look, Storm has had her fair share of iconic costumes over decades of Marvel Comics history, the new suit making its debut in her solo series is specifically designed for brutal combat.

As seen in Storm #2’s preview, Storm expertly utilizes the new costume’s features and her mutant power of control over the earthly elements to enhance her skill in battle.

Even though the series is teasing that the legendary mutant hero is dying, she’s still a powerful threat as she flies into the fight with radiation poisoning, revealed in the cliffhanger ending to Storm #1.
