As Elden Ring player even recreated a Bloodborne boss in-game, paying tribute to FromSoftware's earlier game.

Bloodborne is rather unique in the broader scope of FromSoftware games. While the setting and combat system of the game may not be as wildly different as Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, the overall aesthetic of the game, along with its tone and lore, stand out from the rest of the studio's esteemed catalog. Bloodborne players take on the role of a Hunter, an amnesiac character who wanders Victorian-style streets full of Gothic architecture, out for blood. This is how the game begins, but things quickly take a turn for the bizarre and uncanny, with the player exploring dense forests, nightmarish cliffsides, and snowy castles. Because of the game's stunning and diverse visuals, many fans have been practically begging for an upscaled release over the past few years. An insider teased a PS5 and PC release of Bloodborne a few weeks ago, but no official news has been released.

In the meantime, YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits shared a video that may be of some interest to Bloodborne fans. The video shows just shy of 13 minutes of simulated 4K, 60FPS Bloodborne gameplay, following the player character through Central Yharnam, the game's opening level. Several of Bloodborne's most iconic enemies and pieces of architecture are showed off in the video, and the player even manages to make it all the way to the game's first boss, the Cleric Beast. Aside from the visuals, nothing about the moment-to-moment gameplay appears to be altered.

The simulation isn't perfect, and some of the most outstanding issues come in the form of UI glitches and a couple of framerate hiccups. However, the game still looks incredible in 4K, as the higher resolution allows its detailed art design to shine through. The video may even quell the frustration of Bloodborne fans who are anxiously awaiting a remaster of the game.

Alternatively, this clip may serve to make these players even more frustrated, as it shows a glimpse into what has yet to be delivered. A full remaster of Bloodborne, introducing a higher resolution and framerate, is well-deserved at this point, as the game has a dedicated fanbase that would likely pay extra for a new-gen version of the game. Following Elden Ring's globe-sweeping success, the time for a Bloodborne remaster or PC release may be just right.
