Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 is finally here, and it seems like it will be an interesting season. According to BravoTV, Below Deck Med season 9 was confirmed in November 2023. The news was revealed during BravoCon in November 2023, which took place in Las Vegas. However, since then, the season has been announced along with the cast .

On April 23, the Bravo Instagram page confirmed Below Deck Med season 9 will be returning in early June. Captain Sandy Yawn is obviously returning to helm the yacht, along with Below Deck Down Under chief stew and former stew from Below Deck Med, Aesha. She will be ing the yacht as a chief stew, a step up from the last time she was on this series. Captain Sandy and her crew will be on the yacht Mystique again and this time they will be sailing through the sea surrounding the beautiful country of Greece.

The return is not a shock though, since, according to TV Deets, the ratings for Below Deck Med season 8 were fantastic. Their season high was 891,000, while their season low was 735,000, which is still outstanding for a Bravo series. Below Deck Med season 9 will likely do just as well as season 8.

Below Deck Med season 9 will be returning to Bravo on June 3 at 9 p.m. EDT. Season 8 ended in late January 2024, which is just over five months apart from the season 9 premiere.

However, the series might be trying to get back on track to its regular airing schedule right before summer starts. Season 8 premiered in September 2023, which is a few months later than past premieres of Below Deck Med. Nonetheless, it's not uncommon for the Below Deck series to get off track, premiere-wise.

From seasons 1 to 3, Below Deck Med premiered sometime in May, while seasons 4 to 7 aired between June and July. The trailer for Below Deck Med season 9 was released along with a new crew and the release date. The trailer begins with Aesha saying the Med is where it all began for her. It then goes to Aesha in her confessional, talking to producers about how she thinks she "smells." She then went on to say that she thinks it's from a "lingering" fart; classical Aesha! After this hilarious moment with the new chief stew, the trailer moves on to what viewers can expect for the rest of the season.

Taking place in Athens, Greece, the new Below Deck Med crew is seen getting a little wild on and off the boat. Chef Johnathan gets some negative on his food, while Elena gets handsy with Joe in the back of a van. There is also some drama between Elena and fellow Bri over Joe, plus some usual interior drama. Aesha even says it's the "hardest management position" she has ever been in.

However, the most surprising part of the trailer is Captain Sandy, seemingly proposing to her long-time girlfriend, Leah Shafer.
