As claimed by the cast bios on Hannah, who was born in Australia. Katie has always had a deep fondness for travel and adventure. More than six years ago, Katie decided to try her hand in the yachting industry and quickly fell in love with life on the water. She was able to establish herself as a perfectionist with a sharp eye for detail and a strong work ethic – much-needed qualities to have when it comes to working as a successful chief stew. With her experience on both charters and private yachts, Katie is sure to win over her crew and the guests with her strong resume and work ethic.

Katie isn't new to the world of demanding guests and difficult owners, and the 29-year-old is ready to take on the guests in Croatia. No matter the request she receives, Katie will execute every plan she makes flawlessly and will get it done on time. As she heads to the Lady Michelle to begin a new charter season with a completely new crew, Katie will elevate the interior department by implementing her attention to detail and unparalleled work ethic into her fellow stews. While viewers are excited for the new season to begin, many are sad to see Hannah excluded from the series for the first time. However, they are ready to see how Katie will interact with returning cast Captain Sandy and Malia White.

As someone who has been in the yachting industry for more than six years, Katie sounds like a great addition to season six of Below Deck Med. Even though Hannah will be missed, Katie seems like she will have no problem filling her shoes. If Katie can work well with Captain Sandy this charter season, there is a possibility she will be asked to return for season seven and become a more permanent replacement for Hannah.
