plenty of choices on offer. It's not always clear how to complete these quests, who you should trust, and what choices you should make, though. But that's okay, because this guide will help.

During the main Mother Jago lead, she'll task you with tracking down Mother Jago's Book in Castle Ruins. It's easy to miss, so you'll definitely want to take a careful look at the instructions and screenshots below. But even once you have the book, you'll still want to know what to do about her proposition after you deliver it to her.

Mother Jago Wants Her Book Back Walkthrough

Explore The Castle Ruins Thoroughly

Travel all the way southwest to Castle Ruins (19.6E 83.7N). There are a ton of enemies here, so make sure you're prepared with buffs and ammo, or at least play patiently with melee. Once you're inside the castle, track the "Mother Jago Wants Her Book Back" lead.

Take your first left (you'll know you're going the right way if you go straight and see a bunch of stacks of towels at the end of the hall). Take the right, then look on the counter to your left to find Castle Key. Go to the banquet hall and use Castle Key on the Hidden Keyhole to the right of the empty fireplace (behind the large chair with the body in front of it).

If you thought Mother Jago was a bit off when first meeting her, you'll soon find your instincts were right. Still, it's best to help her for valuable power gains via Training Stimulants.

Go directly west into the room with lots of candles to find Mother Jago's Book on a table (see image at the top of this page). Exit the Castle Ruins and return to Mother Jago with the book. Give it to her and you'll receive a reward of Training Stimulant x3 either way.

Should You Accept Mother Jago's Help Or Reject Her?

Who Doesn't Like More Training Stimulants?

Mother Jago makes an offer in Atomfall

Next, Mother Jago will ask if you're looking for an escape from your suffering. Say no, and you'll simply part ways; say yes, and you'll add "Jago Gives Me an Offering for the Speaking Cave" lead to the "Mother Jago" lead. Despite the voice's warnings you may have heard in the telephone booth against Mother Jago, this does eventually lead to a few more Training Stimulants, which is what's really important here. In short, you should agree to help her, if only for your own benefit.

Atomfall Review: Distinctly Charming, But Never Quite Excellent

Atomfall’s primary mysteries and exploration are enough to earn your attention, but clunky and half-baked gameplay systems might not keep it.

If you thought Mother Jago was a bit off when first meeting her in Atomfall, you'll soon find your instincts were right. Still, it's best to help her for valuable power gains via Training Stimulants. As is unfortunately often the case in RPGs, saying "no" doesn't lead to an interesting or rewarding outcome here.
