Andrew Garfield and two Oscar-nominated actors are reportedly in talks with Luca Guadagnino to star in a new movie about OpenAI. Guadagnino recently directed Garfield in After the Hunt, which stars Julia Roberts and Ayo Edebiri, and is expected to arrive in theaters on October 11. The director's film Challengers with Zendaya, Mike Faist, and Josh O'Connor arrived in theaters last year. However, his planned DC movie, Sgt. Rock, has recently been confirmed as canceled.

According to Deadline, Garfield, Monica Barbaro, and Anora's Yura Borisov are in talks to star in Guadagnino's Artificial. No deal has been reached, but Guadagnino is negotiating with Amazon MGM Studios to helm the project with a script from Simon Rich. The movie will reportedly revolve around the artificial intelligence company OpenAI in 2023, which saw CEO Sam Altman fired and rehired in a short period of time. While negotiations are ongoing and the movie is still in development, the plan is to begin production later this year.

Borisov is also an Oscar-nominated actor after receiving an Academy Award for Best ing Actor nomination following his performance in Anora. While nothing is set in stone yet, the Luca Guadagnino movie is poised to have Garfield, Barbaro, and Borisov as part of the main cast, which could make Artificial one of the studio's highly anticipated projects. Guadagnino already has a few projects in various stages of development.
