Although Anakin Skywalker's Star Wars timeline, especially his fall to the dark side.

While the prequels had already laid out many of the defining moments in Anakin's fall to the dark side, many felt that Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith had made that change too suddenly. Star Wars: The Clone Wars revealed just how influential Ahsoka had been in Anakin's life, though, and how much her departure from the Jedi Order (and the cause of it) had affected him. Yet, what wasn't clear in The Clone Wars but has since been revealed in Ahsoka is the extent to which Ahsoka shared the most dangerous flaw Anakin had.

Ahsoka Showed Strong Signs Of Attachment In Her Own Show

Ahsoka Clearly Had An Attachment To Anakin

Although it was already clear Ahsoka was heartbroken in The Clone Wars when she left the Jedi Order—and, by extension, Anakin—the Ahsoka show revealed that Ahsoka had a full-blown attachment to Anakin. The fact that she kept holos of Anakin's training, decades after she had left the Order, is proof of how significant that attachment was. Attachments are the very thing that led Anakin to the dark side, and, as The Clone Wars revealed, that was not only due to his romantic attachment to Pé but also because of his attachment to Ahsoka, whom he saw as a sister.

The fact that she kept holos of Anakin's training, decades after she had left the Order, is proof of how significant that attachment was.

This doesn't necessarily come as a major surprise, given how important Anakin was to Ahsoka. Even in The Clone Wars, in fact, she refers to Anakin as her older brother, which directly reflects the kind of familial attachment that was forbidden by the Jedi. Keeping the holos of Anakin's training so many years later confirms that Ahsoka never let go of that attachment, though, and it was still something that heavily affected her.

Ahsoka Tano's departure from the Jedi Order in Star Wars: The Clone Wars had long-lasting consequences, but did she really need to leave at all?

Is Ahsoka In Danger Of Falling To The Dark Side Too?

This Would Be A Major Change To The Character

Ahsoka's story isn't over yet in Star Wars, as Star Wars' TV shows. Surely, that show will have plenty in store for Ahsoka Tano, although this apparent attachment to Anakin begs a pivotal question: Could Ahsoka be in danger of falling to the dark side as Anakin did? After all, attachment is precisely the reason Anakin turned.

Ultimately, this is unlikely. If Ahsoka's attachment to Anakin (or struggles with attachment in general) were going to push her to the dark side, that would likely have happened when she left the Order, following Order 66, or even when she discovered Anakin was Darth Vader. This would also be a change to the character that would just be too shocking, and it would likely be wildly unpopular with audiences. Even so, it is a shock to realize Ahsoka Tano shares Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader's greatest weakness in Star Wars.
