Amanda Halterman have been fighting all season long, and it has started to negatively affect the rest of the Slaton family. The Slatons are a hot-headed bunch, so getting into fights is nothing new. They're used to getting into major blow-outs, then hanging out together like nothing happened. The most recent fight between 38-year-old Tammy and 43-year-old Amanda has been more explosive than most Slaton fights and has seemed to last longer. Tammy and Amanda didn't talk for a long time, and it put a damper on their holiday celebration.

Though Tammy and Amanda were able to be in the same room by the end of 1000-lb Sisters season 6, their fight had long-term consequences for them and the rest of the family. The conflict between the two sisters forced Tammy to move to a new house​​​​​​. It may cause trouble between her and her 44-year-old brother, Chris Combs, and his wife, Brittany Combs.

Landlord Tenant Dispute

A wise man once said family and business don't mix. That wise man was Tammy's brother, Chris, and he said it during 1000-lb Sisters season 6. Tammy had been renting Amanda's guest house but had grown dissatisfied with Amanda as a landlord. She accused Amanda of not making repairs promptly. After a massive fight during a family meeting, Tammy and Amanda said terrible things to each other, and Tammy put in her notice to move out of Amanda's house.

Tammy got busy looking for a place to live, but the pickings were slim. The 1000-lb Sister season 6 star looked for a rental, but didn't have much luck. Since she had put in a notice, her time was limited, and she needed a new place fast. She could have solved the problem by apologizing to Amanda and trying to work it out, but both sisters were too stubborn to talk to each other. Tammy didn't have many options with her family, because she'd lived with most of them at one time or another, and it always ended badly.

One Less Bad Santa Gift

The Slatons have an annual tradition where they get together and exchange gifts in a game called "Bad Santa." The game allows players to steal already opened gifts. Chris and Tammy attended, as did their other sisters, 37-year-old Amy Slaton and 48-year-old Misty Wentworth. While four of the siblings were there, Amanda was conspicuously missing. Amanda apparently refused to her family because she wasn't ready to see Tammy, whom she hadn't spoken to for two months. The Slatons are a close-knit family, so the idea of Tammy and Amanda not talking for so long was shocking.

Their Fight Became Chris's Problem

He Offered Tammy A Place To Live

With Tammy not having much luck finding a place to live on the rental market, her brother, Chris, stepped in to save the day. Chris is a fan favorite, in large part because he's always there for his family. He and his wife, 36-year-old Brittany Combs, had purchased the small house next door to their house. They had intended to fix the run-down house as a rental property, but decided to rent it to Tammy instead.

Chris made it clear that he wanted to help Tammy but not if it caused trouble in his marriage.

Tammy had to leave Amanda's house before her new house was ready, so the 1000-lb Sisters star ended up having to move into Chris and Brittany's house for several weeks in the meantime. Chris's daughter and granddaughter already live there, so it's a full house. Chris was adequately worried that living with Tammy could end badly, but he felt he had no choice. Tammy and Amanda could have worked something out so that Tammy could have stayed there until her new house was ready, but they were too stubborn.
