While The Killer's Game seems better received than My Spy: The Eternal City, it doesn't seem to be by much. Some critics have praised Dave Bautista's performance as the movie's best aspect. In addition, the movie's violence and action sequences appear to be the highlight, with some brutal fight scenes and kills as the hitmen attempt to "retire" Joe. However, most have criticized how familiar and pedestrian its story feels, stating that the world Perry attempts to build is undercooked.
