It's been almost two years since the last San Diego Comic-Con for the show's when series co-creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon (who are also the respective voices of Rick and Morty), take to the stage. Finally, fans have their first glimpses of what kinds of adventures for the titular heroes might expect.

While the series had been at an all-time high in its ratings in season 3, it would take nearly six months for Adult Swim to announce that it had picked up the series for Rick and Morty's multiverse.

The two new Rick and Morty season 4 images promise a mix of sci-fi action and cinematic parody, as viewers have come to expect from the show. Of course, they don't reveal much more about the plots of the episodes beyond giving a taste of those aforementioned locations and characters. Hopefully, more info will come with the expected trailer during the show's SDCC 2019 .

The series' fans are legion, with even Captain America himself, actor Chris Evans having been known to favorite fan-theories are actually true.
