Marvel Studios seem to have slowly been setting up the MCU's Young Avengers team, and the Multiverse Saga's major villain, Kang the Conqueror, could be the last missing link. Many have speculated that a Young Avengers team is on the horizon in the MCU after several younger heroes have been introduced in more recent projects, including legacy heroes of the original Avengers. While there has been no official confirmation of a Young Avengers team-up in the MCU, most of the pieces are in place for their formation, all except for one major Young Avengers member from Marvel Comics.
Phase 4 has introduced several younger heroes who could take their places as of the Avengers: Secret Wars. There are still many empty slots in Phase 6 that haven't yet been confirmed by Marvel Studios, so it's possible that a Young Avengers project could be on the way. With Kang being set up as the overarching villain for the Multiverse Saga, and the idea of variants becoming more prominent, the Young Avengers team might almost be complete.
One Of Kang's Variants Is An Important Young Avenger
Nathaniel Richards, a.k.a. Iron Lad, first debuted in Marvel Comics in 2005's Young Avengers #1, a descendant of Reed Richards' father, Nathaniel, born in the 30th century. Interestingly for the MCU's Multiverse Saga, Richards is also a Loki, and Phase 5 is set to properly bring in Kang the Conqueror in full force as the main villain for the Multiverse Saga.
This means that it might not be long before Marvel Studios introduces Nathaniel Richards to the MCU as Iron Lad, which would make the most sense in the lead-up to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. In the comics, Iron Lad was regularly seen as the leader of the Young Avengers, so his introduction in the MCU could bring about the formation of the much-anticipated superhero team. Perhaps his existence is remaining hidden for now so that Marvel doesn't give away major plot points for MCU projects, but Iron Lad could easily debut in any of the Phase 5 projects or beyond.
Who Are The Main Of Marvel's Young Avengers?
The Multiverse Saga kicked off with She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, could take his place among the Young Avengers.
