Character leaks are common and even expected in Genshin Impact now. The free-to-play RPG from miHoYo has an ever-growing roster of playable heroes, and new characters are a huge draw for players to come back to the game. The latest alleged leaks point toward a character named Sara being added to the game, but will Sara be playable in Genshin Impact? Here's everything for fans to know about the latest photos surfacing online.
Typically, new characters show up in Genshin Impact with new updates, and Version 1.7 is expected to arrive next month. In the meantime, players can look forward to the Kazuha Banner in Genshin Impact 1.6, as well as several characters miHoYo has already confirmed for the future: Ayaka, Sayu, and Yoimiya. Now, however, a reported datamine of the game has revealed several new characters like Kokomi, Gorou, and Sara.
Sara is presumably an Electro from Inazuma, who works for the Archon there. She's expected to use Bows in combat, and it's unclear how or when players will interact with her at first. A character who already looks a lot like Sara shows up in the Kazuha cutscene leaks, which show the Inazuma Archon, Baal, as a silhouette in Genshin Impact. Assuming the Kazuha cutscene is real, then it already confirms a character who looks like Sara will appear in-game at some point. So, when should players expect Sara to become playable?
Genshin Impact Leaks: When Sara Will Probably Be Playable
So far, miHoYo has yet to officially confirm Sara is playable, or is even really in the game. However, fan-made renders of Sara have started appearing online and have caused interest in Sara to peak. Mostly, Sara remains a mystery for now, but there's a good chance these latest leaks - which are based off an alleged datamine of Genshin Impact - are real.
Previous character leaks for Eula, Yanfei, and Kazuha have all turned out to be real, and leakers have a pretty good track record with Genshin Impact. Because of this, it's pretty safe to assume Sara's render is pretty accurate and that she'll be appearing in the game eventually. However, since miHoYo has already shown off characters like Yoimiya and Sayu, these newest leaked characters probably won't be showing up until after the Version 1.7 update.
It's most likely that Sara and the other characters like Gorou and Kokomi won't be playable until at least Version 1.8, although they may not be playable characters until Genshin Impact 2.0 releases. Until miHoYo officially announces them, fans shouldn't get their hopes up too much. Even if these alleged leaks are accurate from the datamine, unfinished content like this is subject to change. So, it's possible Sara will look quite different when she finally arrives in Genshin Impact.
