Much to the dismay of fans who fell in love with Larian's work, it's nearly impossible that a sequel to Baldur's Gate 3 will ever come from the same studio. However, Baldur's Gate is a long-running franchise, and it's highly unlikely that it will ever be completely out of the spotlight. Players simply love the cast and story of BG3 too much to ever let it go, and the game lives on through fan content, mods, and the voice actors continuing to bring their roles to life outside the game.

A member of the Baldur's Gate 3 fanbase has triggered a very unique scenario that most fans will have never seen before. BG3 provides players with a perfect alternative to a Dungeons & Dragons party for a sole player with its beloved cast of companions, but it's safe to say that bringing along a friend or two can greatly improve your experience. This is also the only way a typical custom character, or "Tav", can ever co-exist with a Dark Urge.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a game that continues to surprise its players with just how many scenarios developers Larian Studios have thought of. With so many options on offer at every stage of the game, there are a staggering number of possible outcomes for every quest, no matter how large or small. But some players have found out the hard way that that doesn't always work out in their favor.

I am a big fan of Baldur's Gate 3, but I can't pretend it hasn't made me a bit nervous about the future of Dungeons & Dragons video games. Luckily, it seems like at least one D&D video game is going to be very different from Baldur's Gate 3, and I'm very excited to see how it turns out.

Patch 8 of Baldur’s Gate 3 has been available to the public for just over a month, and there's been a decent amount of time to explore all the new features of the game's final major update. The most prominent addition is the selection of 12 new subclasses, which have been incorporated into many useful class builds. I was particularly excited about the death domain cleric, but another subclass has since drawn my attention.

Of all the characters in Baldur's Gate 3, one stands out as the most enigmatic, secretive, and manipulative: the Emperor, or the "dream guardian," as it calls itself initially. While the Emperor is ostensibly the player's ally for the majority of the game, its true intentions are difficult to read, and it's hard to ever fully trust the mind flayer inside the Astral Prism.

It's highly unlikely that you uncovered every single secret and piece of lore in your first playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3. Even the most seasoned RPG player is bound to miss something due to the impressive attention to detail Larian applied when developing the game. With BG3 soon approaching its second anniversary, players are still discovering content that they've never experienced before.

It’s good to accept some of your failed rolls in Baldur’s Gate 3. Constantly reloading can get boring quite quickly, and it will make your story more interesting if your character doesn’t immediately succeed at everything they do. It’s not very often that not ing a roll will result in dire consequences, and there are often multiple ways to approach things if you don’t initially succeed.

Baldur's Gate 3 is an impressively detailed game which truly embodies the spirit of Dungeons & Dragons - if you think there's an interesting way to get through a quest, it is probably something you can do. This makes it all the more surprising when certain aspects of the game appear to be missing. You would expect one side quest to have implications for one of the companions, but this doesn't seem to be the case in-game.
